Eddyline Brewery Expansion
Eddyline of Buena Vista recently announced a $2 million infrastructure expansion project that will house equipment that has the ability to produce about 50,000 barrels per year. Eddyline will start hoping to produce 10,000 barrels the first year. The expansion will also support a projected 30 additional positions by year-end 2016. In addition, the owners hope to revamp the patio area and add a fire pit to the the taproom location to create more of a community gathering place.

Buena Vista Downtown Revitalization Project
In May 2013, at the request of the Town of Buena Vista, a downtown assessment was conducted by Downtown Colorado Inc. (DCI). The assessment of the downtown and community revitalization is to provide tools, insights, and direction to assist the community with its downtown revitalization goals.The comprehensive report is available here.
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center New Clinic
HRRMC now offers an infectious disease clinic at both Salida and Buena Vista locations 2 days a month beginning in January 2014. Onsite consultation includes difficult-to-diagnose infections and those patients who do not respond well to standard treatment, as well as offering vaccinations for individuals traveling overseas.

Business on the Move - March 2014 NAVSYS Corp., a Monument-based company, has set up offices in the Twitchell Building in downtown Salida. The basement of the building will be used as a business incubator, a place for local tech startup companies to brainstorm and network. http://www.salidabi.org/
Navsys specializes in global positioning systems, internal navigation systems and communications systems. The company has contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, Homeland Security and various large businesses in the aerospace arena.
Founder and owner Alison Brown worked with the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs to teach Salida Middle School, Crest Academy, Salida High School and Horizons Exploratory Academy students how to program using Legos. In addition, and as part of the Salida Business Incubator, Brown collaborated with Salida Creative District, the Salida Regional Library and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCCS to sponsor a 3-D printing design contest.

opened just over a year and a half ago and has over 10 employees and is expanding sales into Texas. The Tap Room on County Road 120 features live music, game nights, and tastings with local restaurants.
